Jaeger LeCoultre Triple Calendar Moon Phase ref.14008/1
Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Calendar Moonphase Ref. 14008/1
This rare Jaeger-LeCoultre reference 14008/1 was released in 1983/84 to celebrate the Manufacture’s 150th anniversary.
The watch is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s hand-wound calibre P494/1A, a new old stock movement from the 1940s. It is housed in an 18K yellow gold, 36 mm case manufactured by Favre & Perret SA, La Chaux-de-Fonds — the same prestigious case maker that also produced cases for Patek Philippe, including the legendary 3700 Nautilus and 3940 Perpetual Calendar.
The design is almost a one-to-one reissue of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 1946 triple calendar moonphase, retaining the original proportions and vintage charm.
Condition is outstanding: the case is unpolished and very sharp, the dial and hands are beautifully preserved, and the movement has been fully serviced by my watchmaker.
