A superb and exceptionally well-preserved Movado Calendograf from the 1940s, housed in the highly desirable FB (Francois Borgel / Taubert & Fils) waterproof steel case.
These Taubert cases are renowned for their sharp architecture, robust construction and their use on some of the most important mid-century Swiss watches.
This example features a beautifully aged two-tone radium dial with crisp printing, paired with original blued steel hands. The combination of the warm radium tone and deep blue hands gives the watch a refined 1940s presence.
