A beautiful vintage Vacheron Constantin with a lot to appreciate. This reference 4870 dates from the late 1950s to early 1960s and features a 36 mm Spillman case in 18K gold with a screw-down caseback. A generous size for its time, and just as comfortable and elegant on the wrist today.
The white grené dial has a lovely, subtle texture that gives the watch plenty of character without taking away from its clean, understated look.
Inside is the automatic calibre 1019/1, based on a Jaeger-LeCoultre movement and finished to the very highest standards by Vacheron Constantin. A beautifully made movement bearing the prestigious Geneva Seal, a mark of its exceptional craftsmanship and finishing.
