About this watch
An exceptionally rare early example of the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo, reference 5402BA, dating to 1977, the very first year of production in 18k yellow gold.
Designed by Gérald Genta, the original Royal Oak Jumbo features the unmistakable 39mm case and the ultra-thin automatic calibre 2121.
According to the Audemars Piguet archives, only 736 examples of the reference 5402BA were ever produced, with just 95 pieces sold during its inaugural year in 1977.
This particular example is preserved in beautiful condition, making it an especially desirable piece for collectors of early Royal Oak models.
A rare first-year example of one of the most important designs in modern watchmaking history.
