About this watch
A beautiful Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3800/1J from the 1980s, entirely crafted in 18K yellow gold.
Introduced in 1981 as the smaller alternative to the legendary Nautilus reference 3700 “Jumbo”, the 3800 retains the iconic Gérald Genta design, featuring the distinctive rounded octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet, but in a more elegant 37.5mm case.
What makes this example particularly attractive is its stunning champagne-gold ribbed dial, featuring the characteristic horizontal lines, applied gold hour markers and matching hands. The beautiful combination of the golden dial, brushed yellow gold case and integrated bracelet gives the watch a wonderful monochromatic appearance.
The gold dial is also a less commonly encountered variation compared to the traditional blue dial, making this configuration particularly appealing to vintage Patek Philippe collectors.
Powered by the automatic Patek Philippe calibre 335 SC, featuring central seconds and a date indication.
A beautiful example of the classic 1980s Nautilus, combining the unmistakable Gérald Genta design with the warmth and elegance of solid yellow gold.
